My Journey. My Why. The Birth of F.U.E.L.

My name is Markeitia “Marty” Jackson, MBA, and F.U.E.L. Together was born from lived experience—not theory.

I didn’t grow up learning about wealth, investing, or financial freedom. Like many families, money conversations were rooted in survival, not strategy. You learn how to stretch, hustle, sacrifice, and “figure it out,” but no one teaches you how to build, protect, or pass down wealth. This lack of knowledge often hinders our journey towards building generational wealth.

And yet, we’re expected to somehow get it right.

I followed the path that was supposed to be “safe.” Education. Corporate America. Stability.

But what I learned along the way is this:

A paycheck doesn’t equal freedom, and income without understanding keeps families stuck in cycles. Gaining financial clarity is essential, and that’s why I offer wealth strategy sessions to help others navigate their financial journeys.

The Wake-Up Call

Working in corporate finance provided me with insights that many families never encounter—understanding how money actually moves, how systems are built, and how behavior impacts long-term outcomes. Simultaneously, I observed families around me (including parts of my own life) grappling with recurring challenges: living paycheck to paycheck despite their hard work, feeling fear around investing or taking financial risks, passing down money stress instead of a robust wealth strategy, and experiencing feelings of being behind, ashamed, or overwhelmed when it came to finances. What struck me the most wasn’t a lack of intelligence—it was a lack of structure, exposure, and healing. This led me to realize that achieving financial clarity and building generational wealth requires more than just knowledge; it needs a combination of financial literacy and mindset work.
